There is a great sense of community in Portesham and with its central location and large garden, the Kings Arms provides an ideal venue for getting together with family and friends.
During the Autumn & Winter months, we have some or all of our three log fires burning, giving wonderful warm ambience through the pub.
We run a number of monthly regular events including our very popular Supper Club, Quiz Nights alongside irregular well as live music sessions, and promotional nights with our suppliers.

Quiz Night
On the last Thursday of every month, we hold our Quiz Night. An evening of general knowledge mixed with some current affairs and local questions is always on the cards. Maximum of 4 per team, £1 entry per person and the winner takes all. The start time is 8.30 pm, so you can reserve a table for dinner in advance if you wish, or can order from our selection of sharing platters for your table to enjoy during the quiz.
Private Party’s
You can also hold your own event – birthday, anniversary, surprise party, retirement, wake, or family get together – at the Kings Arms. We can cater for whatever you would like including special menus, hot and cold buffets, discos, live music and we can even make you a cake for the occasion.
Live Music
During 2026 we will be holding live music events at The Kings Arms. Featuring a variety of live bands, singers & pianists – all of the highest calibre. All of our live music events will be advertised on our website, Facebook & Instagram page.
